The Sri Lanka America Association of Las Vegas (SLAALV) is pleased to inform you that the celebration of Sri Lanka’s 75th Independence Day event is scheduled to be held on February 12th, 2023 at the Windmill Library Auditorium before a large gathering. This will include elected officials, diplomats, media, leaders and members of Sri Lankan and other Asian and American communities living in the Las Vegas area.
The event will consist of two parts; A Cultural Show, and an essay/art/multimedia competition titled “Discover Sri Lanka”. An accompanying event magazine will be published which will be widely circulated among the participants, sponsors, other Sri Lankan Associations, and community members. The event magazine will also be available online through our association website for a period of one year. We will also be live streaming the event’s cultural show for the first time to a global audience.
